Our pastor, Doug Hanback, has been ministering with us since November of 2005. He was raised in an Army family living primarily in the South and Midwest. Before coming to BBC he ministered in Wisconsin for 15 years.
Pastor received his B.A. in 1971 when he was born again at the age of 11. At the age of 16 he felt led of the Lord to pursue full-time ministry. He did his undergraduate work at Spurgeon Baptist Bible College where he graduated in 1984. He pursued his master’s degree from Grand Rapids Baptist Seminary in 1988.
He and his wife Jana met at Spurgeon and were married in December of 1984. They have four kids, ranging from a senior in high school down to fifth grade, all of whom Jana home schools.
Doug has a rich desire to see people grow in their walk with the Lord. He emphasizes the need for progressive sanctification in all areas of the Christian life and that no one is either too young or too old to either start their walk with the Lord or grow in their walk with the Lord. Due to the spiritual influence of godly men in his formative years, Doug believes that each member of the Body of Christ can play a role in edifying fellow believers. He enjoys preaching expositorially through the bible.
Doug is a sports fan, he enjoys rooting for the St. Louis Cardinals in baseball and the Minnesota Vikings in football. He also enjoys spending time with his two boys and men of the church on the local golf courses.
If you would like to get to know pastor better give him a call and he would be glad to sit down at Dunkin Donuts and chat over a cup of coffee.

As the child grows, so does his hunger for knowing more about the Bible. They need to understand how the Bible was written, how to study it, and where to find things in the Bible.
